i finally finished the sweater that i designed and knit for my friend, Kim. yoke (or would that be 'yoked'?) sweaters are a joy to knit, so easy! and i love the way they fit! before it lands in the hands of its new owner, it will have enjoy a layover in sunny New Mexico, where it will have a photo shoot with the lovely, Scout. i hope to have the pattern available for purchase sometime in July. next up, i'm designing and knitting a sweater for Kim's daughter, Bea. i'm always nervous about designing for kids. i don't entirely understand kid sizing and it seems that they grow faster than i can manage to get a project off my needles, so this should be interesting.
this is the quilt that Kim is making for me in exchange for the sweaters. i've been trying to get someone to make me a quilt for years, so i am really thrilled about this! i love her color choices. i think it looks fantastic. it will be the perfect thing for my new apartment!
i'm finding it a challenge to get back in the habit of blogging. perhaps, once a move back to a state with weather more conducive to knitting, i'll have more to write about!
